Fujairah – A Hidden Gem

  • Snoopy Island – Escape to the island for the day, and entertain yourself with snorkelling or with some scuba diving in Fujairah.  A hugely popular place to visit, most notably for its diverse marine life and crystal-clear waters.
  • Fujairah Fort – The historic Fujairah Fort dates all the way back to the 16th century. The views from this fort are spectacular and give an insight into the region’s history.
  • Wadi Wurayah National Park – If hiking, swimming and diverse wildlife are what you are looking for – then look no further! Wadi Wurayah National Park offers hiking through lush valleys, swimming in naturally formed pools and amazing wildlife to look on at in awe.
  • Dibba Rock – Dibba Rock has some great diving and snorkelling, with the area full of colourful collar reefs and marine wildlife. Boat tours are particularly popular, so this would be a guaranteed hit for a day out.
  • Fujairah Corniche – For a calming, relaxing evening walk, head down to the Fujairah Corniche, as it offers beautiful views of the coastline and the Gulf of Oman, and its picturesque waterfront promenade is a thing of beauty.
  • Al Hayl Castle – Showcasing traditional Arabian architecture and scenic surroundings, Al Hayl Castle is a great historical site to see during your time in Fujairah.
  • Fujairah Museum – With a rich culture and history to delve into, Fujairah Museum is the perfect place to find out more. This museum showcases exhibits and artefacts related to the heritage of the area, and you will leave knowing a lot more about the history of the region having been here. It also includes archaeological finds from the past.
  • The Local Cuisine – You can’t visit this region without tasting some traditional Emirati food! From machboos (spiced rice with meat), to luqaimat (sweet dumplings) there will be something here to tease your taste buds. Visit local restaurants and cafes, to get a real insight into how the cuisine here is so varied and delicious.
