Don’t Discount When Your Appearance is Reason for Concern
In looking at when you should be more concerned with your appearance, here are some times to consider it:
- On the job – Depending on the type of job you have, you may or may not worry too much about your look. That said you may be in a job where appearance does in fact count. For example, are you in a position where you have to meet clients on a regular basis? If so, you do not want to give them the wrong impression. Take the time to make sure your wardrobe is appropriate. You also want to look at any facial hair you have. If you are a guy and do have notable facial hair, make sure it looks good. You do not want to look like you only recently returned from the mountains and have not shave in many weeks. Go online to see what shaving equipment you can get your hands on that would work best for your face. You can look at razor club for men and other top brands. Find the one that will make you feel happy with your appearance time and time again when working.
- Out on a date – If headed out on a date anytime soon, don’t gloss over how you look. This is especially true if you are going on a first date with someone. The key is to make a good impression. When you do, you may well end up with a second date and so on. From your hair and makeup if you are a woman to what you choose to wear, put some time into the planning. No matter your gender, the last thing you want to do is give a bad impression to someone you are meeting. You may not hear from them again if this happens. Also make sure to be mannerly. Bad manners can spoil a first date or any date for that matter. Last, let the date know ahead of time what your expectations are.
- Contact with police – Finally, if fortunate, you won’t bad encounters with the police. That said you may not be quite so lucky and end up running into them a time or two. For example, you could get pulled over while out on the roads. If this occurs, make sure you do not give the police any reason to potentially arrest you. This could be because you appear under the influence, agitated and more. By having a calm appearance and demeanor, you are less likely going to have trouble. That is if you come face-to-face with law enforcement.
